Who offers the fastest broadband in the US? WSJ says Verizon FiOS

Good story by Shalini Ramachandran of the The Wall Street Journal about broadband service speeds - Fastest Internet? It's Complicated.

Looking at the "Digital Divide" chart in that article see that Time Warner Cable delivered only 95% of their advertised speed at all times. Verizon and Comcast delivered above their advertised speeds 100% of the time. So TWC is not great (I have no FiOS option so TWC is all I got) but AT&T and Cablevision are just terrible according to that chart so I'm happy I am not stuck with either of them.

Digital Divide: Average sustained Internet download speeds as a percentage of advertised speed over a 24-hour period, by provider

Here's the actual FCC report comparing the Internet speeds advertised by 13 broadband providers to the actual speeds experienced by ~6,800 users for both upstream and downstream traffic.
