Road Runner features beyond internet access: Safe Storage

From the TWC website "Road Runner Safe Storage is a remote data storage and backup service. Customers can use this service to backup their digital assets: photos, music and documents. Safe Storage provides Road Runner customers with 500 MB of free, secure online storage, with the option to purchase additional space at a great rate. Safe Storage may be accessed at http://safestorage.rr.com".

Here's the Road Runner Safe Storage FAQ.

Here's the Road Runner Online Storage and Backup Agreement.

I simply went to http://safestorage.rr.com and signed up for the service. You have to use your master account so I simply entered it and got in to the site with no problems. You are asked to create a PIN for an extra level of security. There's a couple of options to get files online. From the website you can click the 'Upload' link to copy files to Safe Storage site. They also have a Backup Tool that you can download. It's a Windows app and you download the MSI file rrsafestorage.msi to install it. The tool seems useful in that it can automate backups for you.

This service seems to work just fine but my Broadband Standard service caps upload speeds at 512 Kbps so using an online backup service just takes so much time.
